Custom Orthotics

Prescription custom orthotics made from a scan of your own feet — designed to correct alignment, redistribute pressure, and relieve pain from the ground up.

Custom orthotics are not the same thing as the inserts sold at the pharmacy. They are prescription medical devices, made from a scan or cast of your own feet and designed around a specific diagnosis — plantar fasciitis, flat feet, bunion pain, diabetic pressure points, or an uneven gait. Dr. Steven Royall prescribes them only when they will genuinely change how force travels through your foot, which is why they relieve pain that stretching and new shoes alone never quite fix.

What Custom Orthotics Help

Heel & Arch Pain

Support that unloads the plantar fascia and reduces strain with every step.

Flat Feet & High Arches

Correction for arches that collapse inward or fail to absorb shock.

Bunion & Forefoot Pressure

Redistributes load away from painful joints and the ball of the foot.

Knee, Hip & Back Pain

Better alignment from the ground up often relieves pain further up the chain.

Diabetic Pressure Points

Protective accommodation that lowers the risk of a pressure ulcer.

How They Are Made

Gait & Pressure Analysis

We watch how you walk and where pressure concentrates before designing anything.

3D Scan or Casting

A precise capture of your actual foot shape — not a shelf size.

Custom Fabrication

Your prescription is built around your diagnosis, activity level, and the shoes you wear.

Fitting & Adjustments

We fit them in person and fine-tune them at follow-up as they break in.

What to Expect at Your Visit

Diagnosis First

We identify the underlying problem before recommending a device.

Honest Recommendations

If an over-the-counter insert would work for you, we will tell you.

Insurance Check

Many plans cover custom orthotics; our team verifies your benefits before you commit.

Break-In Guidance

A simple wear schedule so your feet adapt comfortably over the first two weeks.

Are Custom Orthotics Right for You?
